The Art of Christmas Tree Production (Manufacturing Process)

The original material for professional artificial Christmas trees is PVC/PE particles. These particles are then colored and processed through specialized machinery to be shaped into thin sheet strips. To create a lifelike Christmas artificial tree, the selection of materials is of vital importance. PVC materials are flexible and easy to shape, and it is widely used in the market, which helps to create various tree branch designs; PE materials offer a more realistic appearance and greater durability. This PVC/PE material is flame retardant.

• Pull the PVC strip: The large rolls of PVC film are sent to the cutting machine, which are then cut into uniform-width strips of the required length for the production of specific-sized Christmas trees.
• Leaf cutter:

    ① Laye: The cut PVC strips are sent into the laye machine. The knife rollers inside the machine will cut the PVC strips into fine, slender strips, mimicking the shape of pine needles. To make the tree look more natural and three-dimensional, a four-knife laye machine is often used to process PVC strips of different colors simultaneously, allowing them to be wound together.

 

     ② Leaf Cutting: After being processed by the leaf pulling machine, we obtained a continuous “pine needle” belt. Next, the leaf cutter will cut these into small sections, forming semi-finished leaf units of varying lengths as per the preset length.

• Budding branches: Bundling branches is the key point of the whole production process. The cut leaf segments and the iron wires will be sent into the binding machine simultaneously. The machine rotates at high speed, tightly winding the iron wires around the center of the leaf segments, fixing them and twisting them into a complete branch with an iron wire framework. Some machines can complete both the wire pulling and binding processes at the same time, which is more efficient.
• Fasten the fixed metal buckle: This is a preparatory or auxiliary step for installing the branches onto the trunk. We will attach a metal clip to the main trunk or main branch fixing point of the Christmas tree. This clip acts like a small slot, making the next step of attaching the branches much quicker and more stable.
• Hang branch: Final, we will install the cut and fixed branches onto the hooks on the tree trunk. After all the branches are attached to the trunk, a complete tree card looks very realistic and natural. At this point, the workers will manually unfold, comb, and adjust the folded branches, and adjust the angle of each branch to make the entire tree look fluffy, natural and well-structured. Project Implementation — How to Assemble a Sturdy Christmas Tower Tree

• Erecting the towertree Skeleton:
